A vertical inside bend carries the tray run up or down through a 90 degree change in elevation, with the fitting turning toward the inside of the angle (the tray rungs stay on the inner face of the curve). Eaton B-Line part 4A-12-90VI36 is the aluminum version for 12 inch wide, 4 inch deep ladder tray, formed on a 36 inch radius.

It mates to 12 inch wide, 4 inch deep B-Line Series 2 through 5 aluminum ladder tray. If your straight sections are a different width, a different loading depth, or steel rather than aluminum, this fitting is not the match. Width and depth have to agree for the side rails to splice up flush.

Plan for the fitting's overall length of 43.188 inches along the run. The 36 inch radius is the inside bend radius, chosen on larger cable to respect minimum cable bending radius; if your riser or ceiling space is tight, a smaller radius fitting is the alternative, but only if your cable allows it.

Both change elevation 90 degrees, but the direction of the curve relative to the tray rungs differs. An inside bend like the 4A-12-90VI36 curves with the rung side on the inner face of the arc, which is what you use where the run rises away from the cable side. An outside bend curves the opposite way. Ordering the wrong one means the fitting will not align with the straights at either end.

The 4A-12-90VI36 is supplied as the bend itself. Splice plates and their hardware are ordered separately, and you need a set at each end where the fitting joins straight tray, so order two sets per bend and match them to the aluminum Series 2-5 rail profile.

12.7 lb for the fitting itself. Aluminum keeps the piece light enough for one person to set on trapeze hangers, though support spacing still has to be worked out for the loaded run, and a bend generally wants support close to each end.

This bend is aluminum, which is the usual choice where weight and corrosion resistance both matter, including wash-down and exterior runs. For a run already built in steel, stay with steel fittings instead; mixing materials across a splice invites galvanic problems and the rail profiles may not line up.
