A vertical outside bend carries the tray run up and over an obstruction, changing elevation with the fitting bending away from the cable side. Eaton B-Line part 6A-24-30VO24 makes a 30 degree elevation change on a 24 inch radius. If your run has to drop down and under instead, with the bend turning toward the cable side, you want a vertical inside bend fitting, not this one.

Figure 17.598 inches of length for the fitting itself on a 24 inch radius. Lay that into your run before you cut the adjoining straight sections, because the bend consumes run length at both the entry and exit of the elevation change.

The fitting itself turns on a 24 inch radius, which is the tray centerline geometry, not a cable rating. Check the minimum bending radius your cable manufacturer specifies for the conductors you are pulling. If they call for more than 24 inches, you need a larger radius fitting; if less, this one clears it.

Aluminum. That keeps the weight down, 6 lb for this fitting, and it is the usual choice where steel would corrode, such as damp plant environments or exterior runs. If your spec calls for hot dip galvanized or stainless tray, this aluminum fitting will not match it.

It is UL Classified. Cable tray is classified rather than listed, and that classification is what an inspector looks for on a NEC Article 392 installation. The part is Eaton B-Line 6A-24-30VO24.

The 6A-24-30VO24 is the bend fitting on its own. Splice plates, bolts and any hangers or supports for the elevation change are ordered separately, and you will need splice hardware at both ends where the fitting joins the straight tray.
