Plan on a 30 inch overall dimension for the fitting. With a 24 inch radius, the cross extends well past the centerline of the intersection on each arm, so allow clearance from walls, ductwork and beams before you set your trapeze hangers. Supports typically land on the straight sections either side of the fitting, not the fitting itself.

This is a four-way horizontal cross for the Series 2-5 aluminum tray line. Use it where a tray run continues straight through an intersection and branches both left and right in the same plane. If cable only branches one direction, a horizontal tee is the right fitting and costs you less length. For a change in elevation you want a vertical inside or outside bend, not this part.

Order hardware separately. The 6A-06-HX24 is supplied as the cross fitting; the splice plates and bolt sets that tie it to your four adjoining straight sections are a separate line item, and you need a set for each of the four connections. Verify the splice type matches your Series 2-5 rail before the crew is on site.

It weighs 32.9 lb. That is a two-man lift overhead on a ladder or lift, mostly because of the 30 inch spread rather than the weight itself. Aluminum construction keeps it well under what a steel cross of the same geometry would run.

The 6A-06-HX24 cross is aluminum, which holds up in humid interior spaces, wash-down adjacent areas and most outdoor runs without the coating maintenance galvanized steel needs. For high-chloride or chemical process environments, spec fiberglass instead. Aluminum tray is also non-magnetic, which matters on runs near sensitive instrumentation.
