B-Line Eaton series imperial cable tray and ladder, 6" height, 30.19" length, 42" width, Series 2-5 vertical inside bend, 90°, 12" radius, Aluminum

It turns a cable tray run 90 degrees in the vertical plane, bending inward (the tray rises or drops with the cables on the inside of the curve). The fitting is built for 42 inch wide, 6 inch deep tray and uses a 12 inch bend radius, which is what keeps cable bend radius within limits through the elbow. Use a vertical outside bend instead where the run turns the other way, and a horizontal elbow where it turns left or right on the same plane.

Plan on 30.19 inches of length for the fitting itself. With a 12 inch radius and a full 90 degree turn, you need that much clearance above or below the straight section before the run changes elevation. Tight riser shafts and low ceiling plenums are where this catches people out, so lay it out before you hang the first support.

Aluminum. It is the lighter option and the usual pick for corrosive or damp industrial areas and for runs where support spacing and hanging weight matter. If your specification calls for pre-galvanized or hot-dip galvanized steel tray, do not mix this in, because fittings should match the tray material for both grounding continuity and corrosion behaviour.

Order Eaton B-Line 6A-42-90VI12. The number reads out the build: 6 inch rail, aluminum, 42 inch width, 90 degree vertical inside bend, 12 inch radius. Quote that exact string on the PO, since the adjacent radius and angle variants differ by only a couple of characters.

The item is the vertical inside bend itself. Splice plates, hardware and any bonding jumpers for the joints are ordered separately and need to suit Series 2-5 aluminum tray with a 6 inch rail. Count two joints per fitting when you make up the hardware list.

It carries a CE marking. That is the only certification recorded for the fitting, so if your project specification calls for a particular listing beyond CE, verify it against the manufacturer submittal for the run.
