A vertical outside bend carries the tray run up or down through a 90 degree change in elevation, with the tray bending away from the cables (the outside of the curve). Eaton B-Line part 6A-24-90VO36 is the aluminum version built for 24 inch wide, 6 inch deep Series 2 through 5 ladder tray with a 36 inch bend radius. If your elevation change turns the other way, with the cables on the outside of the curve, you need a vertical inside bend instead, not this fitting.

Plan the elevation change around a 36 inch bend radius and an overall fitting length of 39 inches. That is the tightest thing to coordinate on a congested ceiling: the bend sweeps well away from the point where the straight section ends, so check clearance to ductwork, beams and sprinkler mains before setting your hanger locations. Where headroom is tight, a smaller radius bend of the same width and depth is the fitting to specify.

CSA is the certification carried on the 6A-24-90VO36 aluminum bend, which is what an inspector on a Canadian project will look for on the fitting as well as the straight tray.

Aluminum is the material here. It is lighter to handle and hang, which matters on a fitting like this at 18.5 lb, and it holds up in damp or corrosive areas without galvanizing. Steel tray carries more load per span, so if your cable fill and support spacing were engineered around steel, do not swap in the aluminum fitting without checking the load schedule.

The 6A-24-90VO36 is the bend fitting itself. Splice plates and the connection hardware to tie it into your straight tray sections are ordered separately, along with the hangers or trapeze supports for the fitting, so add those to the same order to avoid a stall in the field.
