A vertical outside bend carries the tray run over the top of an obstruction or down off a wall, turning the run 90 degrees in the vertical plane with the tray's bottom on the outside of the curve. Eaton B-Line part 6A-30-90VO36 does that turn at a 36 inch radius, so cable bending radius is maintained through the transition. Use a vertical inside bend instead when the tray needs to turn the other way, with the bottom on the inside of the curve.

It is built for 30 inch wide tray with a 6 inch side rail height, so it mates to straight sections of the same Series 2-5 aluminum ladder tray in that width and depth. Ordering a bend in a different width than the run is the most common mistake here; the fitting has to match both the 30 inch inside width and the 6 inch rail.

Plan the layout around a 39 inch overall length on the fitting, with a 36 inch bend radius. That is the dimension that decides whether the turn clears the beam, duct, or wall you are routing around, so lay it out before you cut the adjoining straight sections.

The fitting is aluminum, which is the usual choice where weight matters or where a plated steel tray would corrode, such as damp interiors, wash-down zones, and coastal exteriors. Keep the whole run in the same material family so you are not mixing aluminum fittings into a steel tray system.

It carries CSA certification, which is what a Canadian inspector or a spec written to CSA will be looking for on the tray system.

The 6A-30-90VO36 is the bend fitting itself. Splice plates, connection hardware, and any hangers or supports at the transition are ordered separately and must match the Series 2-5 aluminum tray you are joining it to.

It weighs 20.3 lb, light enough for a two-man overhead set on a lift without rigging, which is a large part of why aluminum tray gets specified for long elevated runs.
