The 6A-36-SR30 reducer transitions a 36 inch wide tray run down to 30 inch wide, in a 6 inch load depth. It is a straight reducer, so the side rails step in symmetrically and the run centerline stays the same, which is what you want when the tray follows a wall line or a fixed hanger centerline.

Matching material matters here: pairing aluminum tray components with steel ones puts dissimilar metals in contact at the splice, so keep the whole run in one material where you can.

A straight reducer like the 6A-36-SR30 pulls both side rails in evenly, holding the run centerline through the 36 inch to 30 inch change. Choose it when the tray is centered on its supports or runs down the middle of a corridor. If one side rail has to stay flush, against a wall or a cable riser, an offset or right/left hand reducer is the correct part instead, because a straight reducer will shift that flush edge inward.

Plan on 9.78 inches of run length for the reducer section. That is the dimension to subtract when you cut your straight lengths to hit a fixed distance between a 36 inch and a 30 inch section, and it is short enough that most layouts can drop it between existing hanger points rather than adding one.

The 6A-36-SR30 is the reducer section itself. Splice plates and their bolts are ordered separately as the matching Eaton B-Line splice hardware for the series and rail depth, so add two sets, one for each end of the reducer, when you write the order.

Order it as Eaton B-Line part number 6A-36-SR30. Reading the number: 6 is the 6 inch load depth, A is aluminum, 36 is the incoming tray width, and SR30 is the straight reducer to 30 inches.

It weighs 4.3 lb, which is a one-hand piece on a ladder. The aluminum construction is the reason; the same fitting in steel would be substantially heavier to hold in place while you land the splice plates.

CE is the certification carried on the 6A-36-SR30. If your submittal calls for a specific NEMA cable tray class or a load/span rating, that is separate from the CE mark and needs to be confirmed against the series load tables for the 6 inch aluminum tray you are using.
