UL Listed, and rated NEMA 1. NEMA 1 is an indoor rating: it guards against contact with the enclosed equipment and keeps out falling dirt, but it is not rain, dust or washdown rated. For outdoor walls, damp mechanical rooms or hose-down areas you need a NEMA 3R, 4 or 4X assembly instead.

It is a screw-on cover, not a hinged door. The cover fastens down to the enclosure flange, which means the panel has to be unbolted and set aside for access. If your crew needs frequent access to the gear inside, a hinged-door enclosure cover is the better choice; screw covers are used where access is occasional and a positive fastened closure is wanted.

Flush mount means the cover sits flush to the enclosure flange rather than overlapping it, which is what gives a screw cover box its clean face when it is recessed into a wall. If your box is surface mounted and you want an overlapping cover face, a flush screw cover is not the part you want.

2424 SCF is supplied as a Type 1 screw cover with an extra strap kit, so the mounting strap hardware for the cover is included with it. Conductors, the enclosure body itself and any wall framing are separate purchases.

The finish is ANSI 61 gray paint, the standard gray used across industrial electrical enclosures, so it matches other ANSI 61 gray B-Line boxes and gutter in the same room. Property managers standardizing a mechanical room or electrical closet can mix it with existing ANSI 61 equipment without an obvious color break.

Steel construction, 16 gauge, and 12.3 lb for the cover. That is a two-hand lift at height, so plan on a helper or a support when setting it onto a wall-mounted box rather than trying to hold it and start screws at the same time.
