It's a left-hand bracing slotted bracket for strut framing, used to triangulate a strut run back to a wall, deck, or another strut member so the assembly doesn't rack. It's steel, 20 inches long, 1.62 inches wide, 5.43 inches high, and 1/4 inch thick. Because it's the left version, the brace geometry is handed, so a right-hand brace is a separate part.

Six holes total: one 7/16 inch diameter round hole, plus four slots that are 1 inch long by 13/32 inch. The 7/16 inch hole and the 13/32 inch slot width both take standard 3/8 inch strut hardware, and the 1 inch slots give you adjustment along the brace when the angle or spacing isn't exact.

The B182SHLGRN is the left-hand brace only. If you're bracing a trapeze or cantilever from both sides, you need the matching right-hand version as a separate order. Two lefts will only work where every brace runs the same direction. Check which way the slot pattern falls on the existing brace before matching a replacement.

The brace is 1.62 inches wide, which is the 1-5/8 inch strut face width, so it seats flat inside or against standard channel rather than overhanging it. Fastening is through the 7/16 inch hole and the 13/32 inch slots with channel nuts.

The bracket ships as the steel brace alone at 2.75 lb. Channel nuts, bolts, and washers to fasten it to the strut are ordered separately, sized to the 7/16 inch hole and 13/32 inch slots.

At 20 inches overall length with a 5.43 inch height dimension, this brace spans a long diagonal, so it's aimed at wider trapeze runs and cantilever arms rather than short corner stiffening. If your strut leg is only a few inches off the wall, a shorter angle fitting is the better choice. The 1/4 inch steel section is the heavier end of strut bracing stock.

The finish is Eaton's DURA GREEN, a coated steel finish rather than bare or plain-painted steel, which gives better corrosion resistance than standard plain finish in interior and sheltered industrial settings. For fully exposed exterior or wash-down work, buyers typically step up to hot-dip galvanized or stainless strut fittings.
