It gives no protection against rain, hose-down, dust ingress or corrosive environments. For an exterior wall, a loading dock, or any wet location you need a Type 3R or Type 4 enclosure instead. Indoors in a mechanical room, electrical closet or above a ceiling, it's the right class of box.
