1) Can a B-Line 644 SCGV junction box be used outdoors or in a wet location?
No. The 644 SCGV carries a NEMA Type 1 rating, which is indoor only, for protection against incidental contact and falling dirt. It gives no protection against water, dust, or corrosive atmospheres, and the galvanized steel body is supplied unfinished. For outdoor or washdown work you need a Type 3R, 4, or 4X enclosure instead.

It is a 6 x 4 x 4 inch box (6 inch height, 4 inch width, 4 inch depth). Knockouts are provided on every face except the cover: 3 on each side, 3 on top and 3 on the bottom, so you have plenty of entry choices for branch conduit or cable connectors without having to punch the can on the job.
