1) Can the B-Line 888 SCGV junction box be used outdoors or in a washdown area?
No. The 888 SCGV is a NEMA Type 1 enclosure, which is indoor use only and offers no protection against rain, dust, or hose-down. For a wet or outdoor location you need a NEMA 3R or 4 rated box instead. Use this one for dry indoor applications like electrical rooms, ceilings, and interior walls.
2) Does the 888 SCGV junction box come with knockouts already, or do I have to punch my own?
Knockouts are provided on every face: 4 on each side, 4 on top, and 4 on the bottom. That means you can bring conduit in from any direction without a hole saw or a punch. If your run needs a size the knockouts don't cover, you'd still need to punch the back, which is left solid.
