Yes. The 884 RTSC NK carries a NEMA 3R rating and includes a rain hood over the cover, so it is built for outdoor wall mounting where falling rain and sleet are the concern. It is not a washdown or hose-down enclosure, and it is not rated for submersion or for dust-tight service.

No. The NK in 884 RTSC NK means no knockouts, so the enclosure ships blind and you punch or drill your own conduit entries where the job needs them. That is the version to order when you want entries only on the bottom or back of a 3R box; if you want factory knockouts, specify the knockout version of the RTSC instead.

Surface mounting through embossed thru holes in the back of the box, so the fasteners land on your structure and the embossments keep the body standing off the surface. Body is 16 gauge carbon steel and the unit weighs 4.7 pounds, light enough for two anchors into masonry or a pair of lags into framing. Mounting fasteners are not part of the enclosure, supply anchors suited to your wall.

It uses a flanged screw cover with plated screws rather than a hinged door or latch. You back the screws out to remove the cover completely, so allow working room in front of the box and expect to handle a loose cover during service. Plated screw hardware is what keeps the fasteners from seizing after weather exposure.

The finish is painted ANSI 61 grey, the standard industrial grey used across most electrical gear, so it will read consistent with switchgear, panels and other B-Line enclosures in the same color on the same wall.
