B-Line Eaton series wireway, 6" height, 60" length, 12" width, 12LW wireway, Wireway hanger, Hinged cover, 12, Steel, Oil-resistant gasket, Hinged, A

The 12660-12LW is a NEMA 12 wireway, built for dust, falling dirt and dripping non-corrosive liquids. The seal comes from an oil-resistant gasket around a hinged cover, so it suits machine shops and process areas where coolant or oil mist gets airborne. NEMA 12 is not a washdown or outdoor rating, so for hosedown or exterior runs you want a NEMA 4 or 3R type instead.

It runs 60 inches long with a 6 inch height and 12 inch width cross section. That is a wider-than-tall trough, useful where you are pulling a lot of conductors flat rather than stacking them, and the 60 inch stick length keeps joints down on a run compared to shorter sections.

Mounting is by wireway hanger, which is the standard support method for this trough. The hangers are a separate item, not packed with the section, so budget supports along with the straight lengths, fittings and connectors when you take off the run.

The 12660-12LW carries CSA C22.2 certification, so it is recognized for Canadian installations as well as US work.

Go hinged where you will be back in the trough regularly, pulling or landing conductors, troubleshooting, adding circuits. The 12660-12LW's butt hinges and quick-release latches let you open a whole 60 inch section without handling loose covers or a pile of screws. A screw-cover type makes more sense on a sealed run you never expect to reopen.

Body and cover are 14 gauge steel finished in ANSI 61 gray, the same gray used on most industrial control panels and enclosures, so a run of it lines up visually with switchgear and panelboards in the same area.

Order Eaton B-Line part 12660-12LW. That number covers the 12LW series trough at 6 inch height, 12 inch width and 60 inch length with the hinged, gasketed NEMA 12 cover.
