B-LINE 22-12LE45B – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the B-Line 22-12LE45B elbow fit 2-1/2 inch square wireway?
Yes. The 22-12LE45B is sized 2.5 in by 2.5 in, so it mates to 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 inch lay-in wireway runs. Overall length/depth of the fitting is 4.28 in, which is what you need to account for when you cut the straight sections either side of the turn.
2) Is this a 45 degree inside or outside elbow for wireway?
Inside opening. The 22-12LE45B turns 45 degrees with the access opening on the inside of the bend, so the cover faces into the turn. If your run needs the opening on the outside radius, an inside-opening elbow is the wrong part for that corner.
3) Is the 22-12LE45B wireway elbow rated NEMA 12?
NEMA 12 is the rating on this fitting, so it is intended for indoor use where you need protection against falling dirt, circulating dust and dripping non-corrosive liquids. It is not a wet-location or washdown rating. It is also UL Listed.
4) Do I order the 45 degree elbow by part number 22-12LE45B?
That is the manufacturer part number to specify: Eaton B-Line 22-12LE45B, the 2.5 x 2.5 inch NEMA 12 lay-in 45 degree elbow with inside opening. The 22 prefix corresponds to the 2-1/2 inch square wireway size.
5) What is the B-Line wireway elbow made of, and will it hold up in a plant?
Steel. It is a painted steel fitting matched to NEMA 12 steel lay-in wireway, so it suits indoor industrial and commercial environments. For corrosive or washdown areas you want a stainless or non-metallic wireway system instead.
6) How much does the 2.5 inch B-Line 45 degree wireway elbow weigh?
About 2 lb. Light enough for one person to hold in place on an overhead run while starting the connector screws, and it matters if you are calculating hanger spacing on a long steel wireway run.
