No. The 2245 L COMBO carries a NEMA 1 degree of protection, which is indoor, general purpose only. For rain, washdown or damp areas you need a NEMA 3R or 4 rated raintight wireway fitting instead.

Yes, it is a lay-in fitting. The cover comes off so conductors drop straight into the trough at the turn, which is why lay-in wireway is used for panel gutters and control runs where pulling around a 90 would be painful.
