B-LINE 22-12LAHW – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the 22-12LAHW adapter fit a 12 x 12 inch wireway?
No. This adapter is sized for 2-1/2 inch wireway, with a 2.5 inch height and 2.5 inch width and an 11.94 inch length. The "12" in the description is the NEMA 12 rating, not a 12 inch trough size. For a 12 x 12 run you need the matching larger adapter.
2) Is this wireway adapter UL Listed for an inspected commercial install?
Yes, the 22-12LAHW adapter is UL Listed, and it carries a NEMA 12 rating for dust-tight and drip-tight indoor enclosures. That covers the usual plan-check questions for industrial and MRO wireway work in dusty plant environments.
3) Can I use this adapter in a wet or outdoor wireway run?
Not for outdoor or washdown use. NEMA 12 is an indoor, dust-tight and drip-tight rating, so this adapter belongs on indoor runs. Outdoor or hosedown locations call for a NEMA 3R or 4/4X rated wireway fitting instead.
4) What part number do I order for the B-Line to Hoffman/Wiegmann NEMA 12 wireway adapter?
Order Eaton B-Line part number 22-12LAHW. That is the steel, ANSI 61 gray, NEMA 12 adapter for Hoffman or Wiegmann wireway.
5) How heavy is the 22-12LAHW adapter for overhead wireway work?
About 4.603 lb, so it is a one-hand piece on a ladder, but the run it ties into still needs its own hangers or supports, the adapter is not a support point.
