1) What does the Eaton B-Line 44-12LAHM wireway adapter actually connect?
It joins Eaton B-Line 4 x 4 inch wireway to Hammond Mfg wireway, so you can tie a new B-Line run into an existing Hammond system without replacing the old trough. Model 44-12LAHM, steel, and it ships with two sealing plate kits to close the joint.

No. The 44-12LAHM is sized for 4 x 4 inch wireway, with a 4 inch height and 4 inch width at the opening. A 6 x 6 run needs the matching 6 x 6 adapter, not this one.
3) Is this wireway adapter rated for a wet or oily environment?
It is a NEMA 12 adapter, which covers dust, falling dirt and dripping non-corrosive liquids on indoor equipment. It is not a NEMA 3R or 4X rating, so it is not intended for outdoor or washdown use. The two included sealing plate kits are what maintain the NEMA 12 integrity at the transition.
4) Is the Eaton B-Line 44-12LAHM UL Listed?
Yes, it is UL Listed, which matters if the transition sits in an inspected industrial or institutional installation where every component in the raceway run has to carry a listing.
5) Do I need to buy sealing plates separately for this Hammond adapter?
