1) Does this B-Line trough come with knockouts for conduit, or do I have to punch my own?
No knockouts. The 22120 G NK is supplied blank, so every conduit entry gets field punched or drilled where you want it. If you would rather have factory openings on centers, you need a knockout style trough instead, not the NK version.
2) Is this wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 22120 G NK is a NEMA 1 enclosure, which is indoor, dry location only, general purpose protection against incidental contact and falling dirt. For a rooftop, washdown area, or anywhere water is present you need a NEMA 3R or 4 raintight trough.
3) How does the cover come off for pulling wire, hinged or screws?
Screw cover. The lid is held on with plated screws along its length, so you back them out to open the trough and reinstall them after the pull. That is fine for a one time install or a panel feeder run, but if you expect to be back in the trough often, a hinged cover style is faster to service.
4) How is this B-Line trough mounted to a wall or strut?
Through holes in the back of the trough. You fasten it flat to the wall, to plywood, or to strut using your own bolts or lags, so mounting hardware and anchors are a separate line item on your order. Nothing on the trough clamps or hangs on its own.
5) Is this trough certified for a job that requires listed or certified electrical enclosures?
The 22120 G NK is CSA Certified. That is the only certification carried on the part, so if your specification calls out something else specifically, check the submittal requirement against that.
