The 4418 GRT NK is a NEMA 3R rated steel trough, so it is built for outdoor use where falling rain, sleet and external ice formation are the concern. The screw cover seats against a flange and is held by plated screws, which is what keeps water out of the wireway. It is not a watertight or washdown enclosure, so keep it off surfaces subject to hose-down or submersion.

No. The 4418 GRT NK is the NK (no knockouts) version, so every entry point has to be drilled or punched on the job. If you want factory conduit openings, you need the knockout version of the same trough instead. The 16 gauge steel body punches cleanly with a standard hand or hydraulic knockout set.

It uses embossed thru holes in the back of the enclosure, so it bolts flat to a wall, strut or backboard with your own fasteners. Embossed holes keep the mounting hardware standing off the surface slightly, which helps with drainage behind the box on an outdoor 3R install. Mounting hardware is not supplied.
