1) I just need to replace a lost cover on an existing Condulet, is that all this is?
Correct, this is the cover only, a conduit body cover for a Form 8 Condulet. No body, no conduit fitting. Read the trade size off the existing body (1/2, 1-1/2 or 2-1/2 inch are the sizes offered) and order the matching number: 180, 580 or 880, or 580G if the original had a gasket.
2) Do I need the gasketed Form 8 cover or the standard one?
The 580G is the 1-1/2 inch version with an integral gasket, which is what you want where the body sees washdown, dust, or outdoor exposure and you need the cover joint sealed. The plain 580 at the same size, and the 180 and 880, are standard covers with no gasket, fine for dry indoor runs. Gasketed is only offered at 1-1/2 inch here.
3) Can I use a Form 8 Condulet cover in a hazardous or classified area?
No. This sheet steel cover is rated for ordinary, non-hazardous locations only. For Class I or Class II classified areas you need a cover and body listed for that classification, not a sheet steel ordinary-location part.
