1) Will a Crouse-Hinds Type T Condulet thread onto EMT?
No. The Series 5 Type T body is built for rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit, which are threaded. EMT is not threaded, so it will not make up to these hubs. On an EMT run you either transition to rigid with an EMT-to-threaded coupling at the body, or use a conduit body made for set-screw or compression EMT connections.
2) Does the Crouse-Hinds T15CGN come with the cover and gasket, or do I order those separately?
Cover and gasket are included. The CGN suffix on T15CGN, T25CGN, T55CGN and T65CGN is the traditional cover with gasket, so the body ships ready to close up. You do not need to add a separate cover kit to complete the install.
3) I need to branch a circuit off an existing 2 inch rigid run without cutting in a junction box. What fitting handles that?
A 2 inch Type T Condulet, part T65CGN, is the fitting for that. Break the run, thread the body in line so the conduit continues straight through, and take the branch out of the perpendicular opening. It gives you a splice point and the branch tap in one body, and the gasketed cover closes it back up. Everything threads, so the existing run has to be rigid or IMC.
4) Which Crouse-Hinds part number do I order for a 3/4 inch Type T Condulet with cover?
T25CGN is the 3/4 inch Type T body with the traditional cover and gasket. Stepping up, T55CGN is 1-1/2 inch and T65CGN is 2 inch. Give the counter the full number including the CGN, since the base body without the cover carries a different suffix.
5) Can I use this Condulet outdoors or in a damp mechanical room?
The gasketed cover is what does the work here. The traditional cover and gasket seal the opening against the environment once the splice is made, which is why the body is specified in industrial and utility work. Match the conduit system it is going on: it threads to rigid and IMC, both of which are used in wet locations.
