No lock and no key. The 4707 Transitional Heritage is a dummy handleset, meaning it is surface mounted trim with no latch, no deadbolt and no cylinder. It's a pull for a door that doesn't need to latch, an inactive leaf of a pair, a closet, or a French door where a separate flush bolt or catch does the holding. If you need the door to secure, you need a keyed entrance handleset instead, not this one.

Handing is required when a lever is used on the inside trim, or when an interconnect device is specified.
