Emtek Designer Brass Leverset - Milano Lever, Dummy (Pair)

It's a pull, nothing more. The Milano dummy leverset is non-keyed with a dummy function, so there is no latchbolt, no spindle turn that retracts anything, and no locking. The lever is fixed and mounted to the door face purely as a handle and visual match to working hardware on adjacent openings. If you need the door to stay shut, pair it with a ball catch, roller catch, or magnetic catch.

Handing on the Milano dummy is purely about which way the lever points. Left Hand and Right Hand are the two choices, and you pick so the lever sweeps toward the latch edge the same way the working levers on your other doors do. Since it's sold as a pair, order the hand that suits the side you are standing on for each leaf.

The Milano dummy leverset is classified as residential and carries no ANSI grade. For a commercial opening needing a dummy trim with a graded body, the BEST 9K Series 1DT single dummy trim lever is Grade 1 heavy duty, and the BEST 7KC Series single dummy trim lever is Grade 2 medium duty. The Accentra 455LN Augusta single dummy lever is also a Grade 1 dummy.

The Baldwin Estate 5103 half dummy lever is the nearest decorative-line alternative, offered as a left hand version and a right hand version so the handing is chosen by part number rather than as an option. The Emtek Milano dummy is sold as a pair of levers in left hand and right hand, with the rosette chosen from Lancaster, Ribbon & Reed, or Rope, and the body in brass.

If those doors are Emtek brass hardware, yes. The Milano dummy is a tubular-type lever in the American Designer style, and it takes the same brass rosettes as the working functions, so the rose profile and finish will line up with the passage and privacy sets. Order it in the same finish code and the same rosette pattern (Lancaster, Ribbon and Reed, or Rope) you used elsewhere.

The Callan Bentley dummy lever is a Grade 2 dummy with a single trim design, where the Milano dummy is a brass set with a choice of seven finishes and three rosette patterns. The Bentley is the plainer specification if the decorative rosette choice is not needed.

Passage levers such as the Falcon B101 Grade 2 passage lever, the Arrow GL01 Grade 2 Sierra passage lever, and the Bravura Atlanta Grade 2 passage leverset are also non-keyed, but they include a latch and require door prep. The Milano dummy is surface mount with no door prep required and does not latch.

The Milano dummy itself is the non-latching trim. Neither. It's a mechanical, non-electronic, non-keyed lever with dummy function, so there is no cylinder to key and nothing to wire. If you need keyless access on that opening, a mechanical pushbutton lever like the Lockey 2835 (1 3/16 to 2 inch doors) or an electronic keypad lever like the Delaney LP250 is the direction to go.
