Standard prep is exactly what it's built for: a 2-1/8 inch cross bore, with a latch set for either a 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inch backset. The Ribbon & Reed privacy set covers doors 1-3/8 to 2-1/4 inches thick on standard prep. One exception worth knowing before you drill: the STRETTO rosette needs a 1-1/4 inch diameter bore and a 2-hole door preparation for the thumbturn side.
