EXO SGF1-60-LSCS-UNVC-PC – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can I run the EXO SGF flood on a 347V service?
Yes. Every configuration of the SGF Sling flood operates across 120-347V, so the same fixture works on 120, 208, 240, 277 or 347 volt circuits. It comes with a 36 inch SJTW cord, 18AWG conductors, rated 105C and 600V.
2) Is the SGF flood rated for wet locations and cold weather?
Wet location listed, with an IP66 rated housing and listings to UL1598 and CSA C22.2#250.0-24 for wet locations at 40C ambient. Operating range is -40C to 40C, so it will run through northern winters. The powder coat has been tested to a 1000-hour salt spray rating, which matters on coastal and road-salt sites.
3) How does the dusk-to-dawn photocontrol on this flood work, and do I need a separate sensor?
No separate sensor needed. The SGF uses an integral button-type photocontrol with a silicon light sensor mounted on the fixture itself, switching automatically dusk to dawn with a 5-second ON/OFF delay so passing headlights or lightning don't cycle it. The button body is UV-resistant polycarbonate and uses a 1/2 inch threaded mounting.
4) Do I have to pick a color temperature when I order, or can I change it on site?
You set it at install. The SGF is CCT switchable between 3000K, 4000K and 5000K at 70 CRI, so one fixture covers all three and you can match whatever is already on the property rather than stocking three part numbers. Wattage is switchable too: the smaller unit covers 20-60W at 3,049-8,214 lumens, the larger covers 80-120W at 10,000-15,000 lumens, both at about 125 lumens per watt.
5) Is the 7x7 beam on the SGF flood wide enough to light a parking lot or loading dock wall-wash?
The 7x7 distribution is about as wide as flood optics get: beam angle 115 x 108 degrees, field angle 155 x 156 degrees, off a matte white reflector. That's a broad wash suited to lot perimeters, yard and dock areas, and building faces at close standoff. If you need to throw light a long distance down a lot, a narrower spot distribution is the better choice.
6) Is surge protection built into the SGF, or do I add it?
A 6kV surge protector is built in, no external SPD needed for that level of protection. The housing is die-cast aluminum with a built-in visor on every size to cut glare and spill.
7) Can the lens or driver be replaced in the field if the glass gets broken?
No. The tempered glass lens is secured with sealant and the individual components are not field replaceable, so a broken lens means replacing the fixture. That sealed build is what gets it to IP66 and wet location listing, but it's worth knowing before you spec it somewhere prone to vandalism or ball strikes.
8) Is the EXO SGF flood DLC listed for utility rebates?
The SGF is DLC Qualified, and some configurations reach DLC Premium. Since qualification is per configuration, confirm the exact wattage and CCT setting you're submitting at designlights.org before filing the rebate paperwork.
9) What finish does the EXO SGF flood come in, and will it match existing fixtures?
All units are dark bronze matte textured powder coat, which matches the Current DBT finish. There is no other finish option, so if your site is standardized on bronze it will blend; a white or black site standard will not match.
