Metallics FSCLR4 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the Metallics FSCLR4 intumescent collar used for?
The FSCLR4 is a fire stop intumescent collar sized for 4 inch plastic pipe penetrations. It wraps the pipe at a fire rated wall or floor penetration; in a fire the intumescent material inside expands as the plastic pipe softens and closes off the opening the pipe leaves behind. It is sold as a single model, FSCLR4.
2) Do I order anything else to finish a 4 inch firestop collar installation?
The FSCLR4 is the collar itself. Anchors or fasteners to secure the collar tabs to the wall or deck, and firestop sealant or putty where the assembly calls for it, are separate line items. Only the one model, FSCLR4, is offered here.
3) Is there more than one version or finish of the Metallics FSCLR4?
One configuration only. FSCLR4 is a single-model item with no finish, size, or option choices to specify when ordering.
