Blackburn FBS4H130A1-20 FLEX BRAID 4 9/16H 1/4 X 3 X 20 IN

It is a flat, flexible tin-plated copper braid connector used to make a current-carrying connection between two rigid pieces of equipment that need to move relative to each other, such as switchgear buses, disconnect blades, transformer pads, or expansion joints. The braid absorbs vibration, thermal expansion, and minor misalignment that a solid bar cannot. It is a 4-hole flex braid, 20 inches long.

It is built to CEI 60694 and IEEE/ANSI C37.34-1994. Use flexible braid where the two ends move: thermal expansion on a long bus run, vibration from a transformer or motor, seismic movement, or a hinged disconnect blade. Rigid bar is fine only when both ends are fixed and aligned. The FBS4H130A1-20 is a flat flexible conductor, so it also lets you take up small misalignment that would otherwise put stress on a bolted rigid joint.

It does. The conductor is flat rather than round, so it seats against a flat pad face without a transition fitting and flexes in the plane of the strip. In a tight cubicle that lets you route it against a panel or around a corner with less bend radius than a round cable of equivalent section would need.
