Kraloy 278084 PVC FSCC Double Gang Box, PVC Construction

It can take either. The box is built with a 1 inch conduit opening and ships with 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch reducer bushings, so you can land 1/2, 3/4, or full 1 inch PVC conduit without buying adapters separately.

Yes. The FSCC double gang box is molded PVC and is listed to UL 514C and CSA C22.2 No. 85, the standards covering nonmetallic outlet boxes and fittings. Kraloy calls out car washes, marinas, bridges and tunnels, water and sewage treatment plants, and street and highway lighting among its applications, all corrosive or damp environments where a metal FS box would rust out.

No extra hardware for the box itself. Mounting feet are molded into the body, so there are no loose brackets or clips to lose on the truck or on the lift. You supply only the fasteners appropriate to the surface you are mounting to.

Same job, different material and corrosion behavior. The Kraloy FSCC is molded PVC, lightweight with high impact and tensile strength, and it will not corrode in wash-down, chemical, or salt-air settings where a cast metal FS box will pit and rust. The tradeoff is that PVC is nonmetallic, so it carries no equipment ground path through the box body, and your grounding conductor has to be run and terminated as it would be in any nonmetallic raceway system.

It is a double gang FSCC box, so it accepts two-device coverage, a pair of devices such as a receptacle and a switch, or a two-gang cover plate. Order the FSCC cover separately to match the device configuration you need.

That is one of the environments Kraloy targets with this box. Food processing plants, fish plants, and pulp and paper industries are all listed applications, because the PVC body shrugs off the caustics and constant moisture that degrade metal enclosures. It is listed to UL 514C and CSA C22.2 No. 85 for nonmetallic box use.
