1) Will the Hager 47KE exit device trim fit a 1-3/4 inch commercial door?
That is the thickness it is built for. The 47KE trim is specified for 1-3/4 inch (45 mm) doors, which is the standard commercial door thickness, and the door needs a 2-1/8 inch (54 mm) diameter cross bore. On a thinner 1-3/8 inch door you are outside what the trim is specified for, so plan on the standard commercial 1-3/4 leaf.
2) Does the Hager 47KE trim drop into an existing 2-1/8 inch cross bore?
Yes, if the door already carries the standard 2-1/8 inch (54 mm) cross bore. The 47KE uses that bore diameter and a Turtle Prep pattern per ANSI A156.115, so a door prepped to that standard takes the trim without re-boring. The rose covers 3-3/8 inches (86 mm) in diameter, which is what you have to work with if you are covering marks from previous hardware.
3) What keyway does the Hager 47KE device trim come in, and will it key into my existing Schlage system?
The 47KE ships with a conventional cylinder in the Schlage C keyway as standard on the lever trims. 5) I have an exit device on the door already. Is the Hager 47KE the lock itself or just the outside trim?
It is outside trim only. The 47KE mounts on the pull side of a door that already has an exit device on it, and it gives that opening a keyed lever for entry from the outside. It does not latch anything on its own, so it is ordered in addition to an exit device, never instead of one. If the exit device is not already on the door, that is the part to source first.
6) Which lever styles and finishes can I order the Hager 47KE trim in?
Three lever shapes, Archer, August and Withnell, each in four finishes: anodized aluminum, dark bronze, 605 bright brass and 630 satin stainless steel. That is twelve orderable combinations. The lever shape and the finish are both specified on the order, so a Withnell lever in 630 satin stainless is ordered as 47KE-WTN-US32D.
