The rose covers 3-3/8 inches (86 mm) diameter, so it hides a clean standard bore but won't mask a badly oversized or chewed-up hole.
3) Does the Hager 47KN trim meet accessibility requirements?
The lever versions comply with ANSI A117.1 for accessible buildings and facilities. That compliance is stated for levers only, so if the opening is on an accessible route, order Archer, August, or Withnell rather than the Apollo knob.

It's the outside trim only for the Hager 4700 Series. The push bar exit device itself mounts on the inside face of the door and is ordered separately; the 47KN provides the keyed outside lever or knob that works with it.

No handing to specify. The 47KN trim is non-handed, so one part covers left and right hand openings. That makes it easier to stock a spare for a building with doors swinging both ways.
6) What finishes does the Hager 47KN exit trim come in, and what is it made of?
Four finishes: 628 satin aluminum, 630 satin stainless steel, 605 bright brass, and dark bronze. Construction is a steel body with zinc handles across the 4700 Series, with one exception, US32D (630), which gets a stainless steel rose. If you are matching existing hardware across a building, 630 and 628 are the usual commercial pairings.
