1) Will the Hager 2-679 power transfer work on a door hung on 6 inch butt hinges?
It will, but the swing is limited. The 2-679 handles 0 to 180 degrees on butt hinges up to 5 inches wide, and 0 to 130 degrees on 5-1/2 inch and 6 inch butts. Anything wider than 6 inches is outside what the transfer will take. So if the opening needs a full 180 swing, you need to be on 5 inch or narrower butts, or on offset pivots up to 3/4 inch.
2) Can I use the Hager 2-679 electric power transfer on a center hung door or with swing clear hinges?
No. The 2-679 is not compatible with center hung doors, swing clear hinges, pocket pivots, butt hinges over 6 inches, or 1-1/2 inch offset pivots.
