Metallics JPFMWP2281100 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can I use this HangerMate screw anchor in concrete or steel?
No. The JPFMWP2281100 is the wood version of the HangerMate, intended for driving into wood structure such as joists, blocking, or timber framing. Concrete, steel, and masonry each take a different HangerMate point and thread, so pick the base material version that matches what you are anchoring into.
2) How many HangerMate 1/4 x 2 wood rod hangers come in a jar?
They ship 25 to a jar. That is the standard put-up for this item, so an electrical or mechanical contractor hanging a run of 1/4 inch rod orders in multiples of 25.
3) What is the embedment length of the Metallics 1/4 x 2 HangerMate wood anchor?
The 2 inch figure in the JPFMWP2281100 is the screw length driven into the wood. Make sure your joist or blocking is deep enough to take the full 2 inches behind any sheathing or finish material you are going through.
4) Is threaded rod included with the Metallics JPFMWP2281100 HangerMate?
No rod is included. The jar contains 25 hangers only, so order your 1/4 inch all-thread, nuts, and washers separately to complete the drop.
