Klein Tools 60107 Hard Hat, Non-Vented, Cap Style with Headlamp, White

Yes. The Klein Tools 60107 is a Class E, Type 1 cap style hard hat tested up to 20kV, and it meets ANSI Z89.1-2014 and CSA Z94.1-15, plus EN12492:2012 sections 4.2.1.2, 4.2.1.3 and 4.2.1.4 for front, back and side impact. Class E is the electrical class utility and electrical crews are normally required to wear. Type 1 means it is built for top impact protection; if your site spec calls for a Type 2 hat with lateral impact rating, this is not that hat, though it does carry the EN12492 side impact testing.

The headlamp is included. The 60107 ships with a removable Klein Headlamp/Magnetic Work Light (KHH56220) and 3 x AAA batteries. It runs an LED putting out 150 lumens on high and 50 on low, with battery life up to 10 hours. Nothing else is needed to get light on the hat out of the box, though the rechargeable headlamp 56034 is sold on its own if you would rather not keep buying alkalines.

Sizing runs 6.5 to 8, so it covers most adult head sizes off one SKU, which is why it works for a fleet buy where you are not sizing each person. Adjustment is a ratchet with a pivot on a 4-point suspension, worked one-handed with a large knob so you can size it with gloves on. The neck pad pivots to clear bandanna knots and pony tails.

Yes. The suspension on the 60107 can be reversed so the hat is worn backwards, and the hat has accessory mounts on both the front and the back, so the headlamp can go on whichever side is facing forward. Note that reverse donning only holds its rating if the suspension is reversed per Klein's instructions packed with the hat.

There are universal accessory slots on both sides of the shell for hearing protection, a face shield and similar cap-mount accessories, plus dedicated Klein accessory mounts front and back for the headlamps. The front and back mounts are the patent-pending Klein headlamp mounts, not universal slots, so slotted earmuffs go on the sides.

No, the 60107 is a non-vented shell, which is what keeps it Class E for electrical work. Vented hats cannot carry an electrical rating. For heat, this one relies on an open-frame suspension for air circulation and a padded, sweat-wicking, odor-resistant liner that is machine washable.

Klein lists the suspension (KHHSPN), sweatband (KHHSWTBND) and top pad (KHHTOPPAD) as replacement parts for this hat, so a facility can refresh the wear items instead of scrapping shells. Add-on accessories are the 56220 headlamp, 60156, and the KHHSTRP chin strap. The sweatband and top pad are machine washable, which cuts how often they need replacing.

No chin strap ships with the 60107. The KHHSTRP chin strap is an accessory you order separately, which matters if your crew works at height or in wind where a retention strap is required.

The 60107 is the white shell version, cap style, non-vented, with the headlamp included. If your crew color-codes by trade or role, this is the one to order for supervisors and general site wear where white is the convention.
