Houzer 629705 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Houzer sinks does the 629705 bottom grid actually fit?
The 629705 Wirecraft grid is cut to fit two sinks only: the Houzer Quartztone granite models V-100 and V-100U. It is not a universal grid. If your basin is a different Houzer model or another brand, measure your basin floor before assuming it will drop in, because the grid's footprint is fixed at 27-15/16 x 15-1/8 x 1 inches.
2) What are the dimensions of the Houzer 629705 sink grid?
It measures 27-15/16 x 15-1/8 x 1 inches. That 1 inch height is what lifts dishes off the basin floor and keeps water moving to the drain, so when you are checking a basin for fit, allow for clearance under the grid as well as the length and width of the basin bottom.
3) Will a stainless grid scratch a granite composite sink?
No. The 629705 sits on protective plastic feet that hold it in place, so the stainless wire never rides directly on the basin surface. Those feet also cut the noise and movement you get when washing dishes, which is the main complaint with a bare composite basin.
4) Does the Houzer 629705 bottom grid need any assembly or mounting hardware?
Nothing to install. The Wirecraft grid is a loose-laid accessory that sets into the basin on its own feet, so it lifts straight out for cleaning and needs no fasteners, clips, or drilling. For a property manager replacing a worn grid across units, it is a drop-in swap.
5) What finish and material is the Houzer 629705 grid?
Satin stainless steel is the only finish offered, which pairs with stainless faucets and strainers without trying to match the granite color. The grid is stainless steel construction, so it stands up to water, food, and household cleaners in a daily-use kitchen basin.
6) Is this grid for a kitchen sink or can it go in a bar or utility basin?
It is sized and sold for kitchen use, and the footprint of 27-15/16 x 15-1/8 inches is a full-size single-bowl dimension, far larger than a typical bar or prep basin. For a smaller basin you want a grid matched to that specific sink model rather than trimming this one.
