Houzer BG-4850 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Houzer sink does the BG-4850 bottom grid fit?
The BG-4850 Wirecraft grid is cut for one sink only: the Houzer CND-3360. It is not a universal grid, so if the bowl in your kitchen is any other Houzer model or another brand, this one will either rock on the bowl radius or sit short of the walls. Match the sink model before ordering.
2) Will a stainless bottom grid keep a sink from getting scratched in a rental kitchen?
That is the main reason to use one. The BG-4850 sits above the bowl floor so pots, cast iron and flatware land on the wire grid instead of the sink surface, and it cushions glassware. For a property manager cycling tenants through a kitchen, it is a cheap way to keep the bowl looking new.
3) Does the Houzer BG-4850 grid move around or rattle when you wash dishes?
It is fitted with protective plastic feet that hold it in position and damp the contact with the bowl, which cuts noise and keeps the grid from sliding while you work. The feet also keep the stainless wire off the sink finish.
4) Is the BG-4850 a kitchen grid or can it go in a bath or utility sink?
It is specified for kitchen use and sized to the Houzer CND-3360 kitchen bowl. Dropping it into a bath or laundry basin is a dimensional gamble, not a fit.
5) How many finish choices does the Houzer BG-4850 come in?
One: satin stainless steel, under part number BG-4850. There is no second finish to specify, so the order is just the model number and quantity.
