Houzer BG-3350 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Houzer sink does the BG-3350 bottom grid fit?
The BG-3350 Wirecraft grid is cut to fit the Houzer BCD-3322 sink bowl and nothing else. Houzer bottom grids are sized to a specific bowl footprint and radius, so ordering by sink model rather than by rough bowl size is the only reliable way to get one that sits flat. If your sink is a different Houzer model, you need the grid matched to that model number.
2) Will a sink grid stop a stainless bowl from scratching and drumming?
That is what the BG-3350 is for. The wire grid keeps pots, cast iron and flatware off the bowl floor so the finish does not get scored, and the plastic feet hold it in place and cushion contact, which cuts the noise and movement when dishes are dropped in. It is the cheapest way to protect a sink basin that is already installed.
3) Is the BG-3350 grid rust resistant enough for a busy commercial or multi-family kitchen?
The grid is stainless steel, T201 grade, which handles water, food acids and normal detergents. T201 is a lower-nickel stainless than the 300 series, so in heavy-duty foodservice use expect it to want drying and routine cleaning rather than being left sitting wet under a dripping faucet. For residential and light commercial kitchen duty it holds up fine.
4) What finish does the BG-3350 come in, and will it match a standard stainless kitchen sink?
One finish only, satin stainless steel, which is the same brushed look used on most stainless kitchen bowls. There is no color or coated option to specify when ordering.
