Houzer BG-3700 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What are the dimensions of the Houzer BG-3700 sink grid?
Outside dimensions are 29-3/4 x 16-1/8 x 1 inches. Measure the inside bottom of your bowl before ordering: the grid has to clear the bowl walls at the base, and the 1 inch height is what sets how far dishes sit above the sink floor and the drain.
2) Will a bottom sink grid keep dishes from chipping in a stainless sink?
That is what it is for. The BG-3700 sits on the floor of the bowl so glassware and china land on wire rather than on steel, and it keeps the sink surface from getting scratched by pots and cast iron. Plastic feet hold it in place and cut down the rattle and movement while you wash.
3) Is the Houzer BG-3700 grid stainless steel, and will it rust in a commercial kitchen?
It is a stainless steel wire grid, so it stands up to water, food and household cleaners. For multi-family or hospitality turns where grids get replaced along with sinks, keep in mind it is matched to the BLS-3322 bowl, so standardizing means standardizing on that sink.
4) What finish does the BG-3700 come in, and will it match a satin stainless sink?
Satin stainless steel is the only finish offered, which is the same brushed look as the Houzer stainless bowls it drops into. No polished or coated version exists.
