Houzer BG-3250 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Houzer sinks does the BG-3250 bottom grid actually fit?
The BG-3250 Wirecraft grid is cut to fit two Houzer bowls only: MH-3200 and PCH-3700. It is not a universal grid, so dropping it into another model usually means the feet sit on the bowl radius or the grid binds against the walls. If your bowl is a different Houzer model, order the grid matched to that model instead.
2) What are the dimensions of the Houzer BG-3250 sink grid?
It measures 26-3/4 x 16-5/16 x 1 inches. Use the 1 inch height when you are checking clearance around a disposal flange or a bottom drain opening, and compare the two footprint figures against the inside bottom of your bowl, not the rim cutout.
3) Will a bottom grid stop dishes chipping and quiet the sink in a rental kitchen?
That is what it is for. The wire grid holds pots and glassware up off the stainless bottom so they are not landing directly on the bowl, and the plastic feet keep the grid from sliding and drumming while someone is washing. It also takes the scratching that would otherwise show on the bowl floor, which matters on turnover inspections.
4) Is the BG-3250 grid stainless steel, and what finish does it come in?
Stainless steel construction, supplied in satin stainless. The satin finish reads the same as a brushed stainless bowl, so it does not stand out in the sink the way a chrome-plated or coated grid does.
5) Is this grid meant for a kitchen sink or will it work in a bath or utility bowl?
It is specified for kitchen sink use, and because it is sized to the MH-3200 and PCH-3700 kitchen bowls, it will not match a lavatory or a utility tub footprint. For those, you need a grid sized to that basin.
6) I am standardizing accessories across several units. What do I quote to get this grid?
Order by Houzer part number BG-3250 in satin stainless. One grid covers both the MH-3200 and the PCH-3700, so if your buildings use either of those bowls you can carry a single line item rather than two. Country of origin is China if your purchasing paperwork asks for it.
