The Houzer CB-2400 is cut to fit Houzer sink models MS-2409, MG-3209 and STS-1400. It is sized to those bowls rather than being a universal board, so if your sink is a different Houzer model or another brand, measure the bowl opening against the board's 13-1/2 x 20-1/4 x 3/4 inch footprint before ordering.
2) Will the CB-2400 board sit properly on an undermount sink, or is it only for topmount?
Both. The CB-2400 is reversible, and that two-sided design lets it seat on undermount and topmount bowls of the sinks it is built for (MS-2409, MG-3209, STS-1400).
3) What wood is the Houzer CB-2400 made from, and does it hold up to knife work?
Rubberwood, a dense closed-grain hardwood Houzer sells under its Endura hardwood line. It takes a knife edge without heavy scarring and, being reversible, you can flip to a fresh face when one side gets worked over. Like any solid hardwood board it wants hand washing and periodic oiling, not a dishwasher.
4) What color is the Houzer CB-2400 board, and is there more than one option?
One option only: a matte tan natural wood finish. There is no stained or darker version of the CB-2400, so it will read as light natural hardwood against stainless or granite composite bowls.
