1) Which Houzer sinks does the CB-2500 cutting board fit?
The CB-2500 is cut to fit all Houzer sink models except the Contempo, Epicure, Novus, Nouvelle, Medallion designer and Club series, plus the MES-3221, MGD-3120, STS-1400 and STC-2200. If your bowl is one of those, this board will not seat correctly on the ledge and you need a board sized for that specific model.
2) Will the Houzer CB-2500 board work on an undermount sink, or only a topmount?
Both. The CB-2500 is reversible, and each face is made to sit on either an undermount or a topmount bowl ledge, so one board covers either installation type.
3) For a multi-unit kitchen package, is the CB-2500 a single part number I can standardize on?
Yes, for any Houzer bowl outside the excluded families. The CB-2500 ships as one part number with one finish, and because it is reversible it covers both undermount and topmount bowls across a mixed property. Verify the sink model on each unit against the exclusion list first, since Contempo, Epicure, Novus, Nouvelle, Medallion designer, Club series, MES-3221, MGD-3120, STS-1400 and STC-2200 will not take this board.
4) What wood is the Houzer CB-2500 made from, and how does it hold up to knife work?
Rubberwood, a close-grained hardwood Houzer sells under its Endura Hardwood line. At 3/4 inch thick it is a solid board rather than a veneer panel. Like any hardwood board it should be hand washed and dried rather than run through a dishwasher or left standing in water.
5) Can I spec the Houzer CB-2500 in a different color or finish?
One finish only, Matte Tan, which is the natural rubberwood tone. There are no other color options in the CB-2500.
