1) What wire size does the Sta-Kon RBC14-516 ring terminal accept?

4) Why choose a ring terminal instead of a fork or spade terminal?
A ring tongue is captive. The screw or stud passes through a closed ring, so the connection cannot vibrate loose off the stud the way a fork terminal can back out. Use the RBC14-516 ring style on motor leads, battery and ground studs, and any panel subject to vibration. A fork terminal is the choice only where you need to service a terminal strip without fully removing the screw.
5) What is the barrel made of, and can I use it on aluminum wire?
The barrel is copper, so it is for copper conductors only. Aluminum conductors need a terminal specifically rated AL or AL/CU, and putting aluminum in a copper-only barrel invites a corroded, high-resistance joint.
6) Do I need a special crimp tool for Sta-Kon RBC14-516 terminals?
Crimp it with a tool matched to insulated nylon terminals in the 16-14 AWG range, using the color-coded green die nest. A generic pliers crimp on a heavy-duty barrel will under-form the joint. Strip the conductor so no copper shows past the barrel and so the insulation sleeve still supports the wire.
