1) What conduit type is the Thomas & Betts APEF-1 fitting made for?
The APEF-1 is for use with rigid metal conduit and IMC. It is not intended for EMT, which uses its own set-screw or compression fittings. It carries a UL listing.
2) Is the APEF-1 conduit fitting aluminum or steel?
Die cast aluminum. That matters if you are running it alongside steel rigid conduit in a damp or corrosive location, where dissimilar metal contact is a consideration. It is also RoHS compliant.
3) Does the Thomas & Betts APEF-1 have to be bought in a multiple?
Yes. Although it is sold by the each, the order multiple is 10, so quantities go up in tens. The inner pack is 10 pieces and the outer carton holds 50.
