Sta-Kon DIE2009 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What connectors is the Sta-Kon DIE2009 crimping die used for?
The DIE2009 is an install die for Sta-Kon RB, RC and RP wire joints. If the joints you are crimping are a different Sta-Kon series, this is not the die for them.
2) Is the DIE2009 a crimping tool or just the die?
It's the die only, not a complete tool. The DIE2009 is a crimping die that installs into a compatible crimping tool head, so you need the tool itself in addition to the die to make up RB, RC and RP wire joints.
3) What is the manufacturer part number for the Sta-Kon RB/RC/RP wire joint install die?
Order it as Sta-Kon DIE2009. That single part number covers the install die for RB, RC and RP wire joints, and it is the only configuration offered.
4) Where is the Sta-Kon DIE2009 die made?
Country of origin is Sweden. That matters on public and institutional jobs where origin has to be documented in the submittal package.
