Klein Tools Leather All Purpose Gloves

No. The Klein Tools Leather All Purpose Gloves are not flameproof or fire retardant, and the manufacturer warns against exposing them to open flames. They also carry no heat resistant rating. For welding, torch cutting, or arc flash work, order gloves specifically rated for that hazard instead. These are general purpose handling gloves for heavy-duty work.

No. Despite being catalogued for electrical trades, these cowhide leather gloves are not insulated and carry no electrical protection rating. They are a general work glove for handling conduit, wire pulls, strut, and tool work. For live work you need rubber insulating gloves rated to the class of voltage, with leather protectors over them.

Four sizes, one part number each: Small is 60606, Medium is 60607, Large is 60608, and X-Large is 60609. They are unisex sizing, so a crew ordering in bulk picks by hand size, not by gender. Buying by the specific catalog number is the reliable way to keep a fleet order straight.

That is what they are built for. The palm is top grain cowhide leather for abrasion resistance, and the fingertips are leather reinforced. The back of the hand is knit fabric with a stretchable spandex back, so you keep dexterity for terminations and small hardware. Note there is no reinforced palm pad and no thumb patch, so for sustained heavy vibration or repeated thumb wear you may want a padded glove.

Slip on, with an open cuff and no wrist strap or closure. A flexible thermoplastic rubber pull tab helps you get them on and keeps the fit secure. The open cuff means quick on and off between tasks, but it does not seal out debris the way a knit or gauntlet cuff does, and there is no knuckle strap protection.

Not really. They are unlined and not water resistant, so they are a dry-condition, three-season glove. In standing water or winter exteriors the leather will soak and there is no insulation behind it. For cold weather crews, spec a lined or insulated glove and keep these for general handling.

No, they are not machine washable. The cowhide leather palm and knit back will not survive a laundry cycle, so plan on replacing them rather than laundering them. For facilities that launder PPE in-house, a synthetic or coated glove is the better standardization choice.

Yes. They contain no latex and are powder free, so they are safe to issue to workers with a latex sensitivity. The glove body is cowhide leather with a knit back and a thermoplastic rubber pull tab.

No coating. The grip comes from the top grain cowhide palm itself, with no anti-slip treatment applied. On oily or wet surfaces a nitrile or polyurethane coated glove will grip better; leather is the choice when abrasion and puncture from rough material matter more than slick-surface grip.
