1) Does the Kwikset 818SCE San Clemente handleset come with the interior trim, or do I have to order that separately?
Exterior only. The 818SCE San Clemente ships as the outside handleset half, and an interior pack is required to complete the opening. If you order this by itself you will have an exterior escutcheon, handle and deadbolt cylinder with no inside thumbturn or inside knob/lever, so budget for the matching interior pack on the same order.

The Kwikset 818SCE San Clemente is a single cylinder handleset, keyed outside only. For a double cylinder opening - glass-lite doors where a thumbturn is not wanted - the Baldwin Estates 6542 Tremont double cylinder entry mortise trim is the double cylinder option, and it is specified for a 1-3/4 inch door, the same thickness the 818SCE is built for. Baldwin also offers the 6542 Tremont in single cylinder if you stay with one key side.
