1) I do not know yet whether the closer goes regular arm or parallel arm. Is the LCN 4111 a safe order?
Not if the mounting is still open. The 4111 is built one way, parallel arm on the push side, so it is the right order only once the opening is confirmed as a push side application. On the 4111 those are CUSH, HCUSH (adds hold open), SCUSH (spring cush) and SHCUSH (spring cush with hold open), and the stop is built into the arm and soffit shoe so the arm takes the impact instead of the door hitting a wall. The EDA and HEDA extra duty arms and the RW62A regular arm do not stop the door, they need an auxiliary overhead or wall stop in the opening.
4) Does the LCN 4111 meet ADA opening force requirements?
It does. The 4111 is ADA compliant, and the hold open beyond 140 degrees is what satisfies the reduced opening force requirement. Because the spring is field adjustable across sizes 1 to 5, you can dial the power down to the force your inspector is measuring at instead of being stuck with a fixed size. 5) Will the LCN 4111 land on the same holes as the closer already on my door?
