Push side only. The 4841 is a surface-mounted, parallel arm application on the push side, so you need the header face and soffit clear on that side of the opening. If your only available mounting surface is the pull side, this is the wrong operator for that opening.
2) Do I have to order the LCN 4841 handed for a left or right hand door?
No handing to specify. The 4841 is non-handed, so one unit works on either hand of door.
