1) Is the LTLES02G-C conduit steel core or aluminum core?
Aluminum core. That matters on weight and on corrosion behavior: aluminum core liquidtight is common in food processing, wash-down and coastal work where steel core is more prone to rust if the jacket gets nicked. Aluminum is also non-magnetic, so if a spec calls specifically for a steel core flexible metal conduit, this is not the same part.
2) Do I need separate connectors for 1/2 inch liquidtight flexible metallic conduit, or are they included?
The LTLES02G-C is sold as conduit only, a 100 foot coil with no fittings. Terminations are a separate line item: you need liquidtight connectors sized 1/2 inch, straight or 45/90 degree as the equipment box dictates, plus sealing rings where a raintight or wash-down seal is required. Count two connectors per whip when you take off the job.
3) Is liquidtight flexible metallic conduit the right choice, or should I use flexible metal conduit (FMC) or PVC?
Liquidtight flexible metallic conduit is the one to use where the run has to flex and stay sealed against moisture: motor and pump whips, rooftop HVAC units, outdoor equipment, wash-down areas. Plain FMC (greenfield) is cheaper and fine for dry interior flex connections but has no liquid tight jacket. Rigid PVC or EMT is the choice for fixed runs that never move. The LTLES02G-C covers the flexible-and-wet case at 1/2 inch.
4) What color is the LTLES02G-C liquidtight conduit jacket?
Grey jacket. On facilities that color code raceway, grey is the usual default for general power and control runs, so it blends with existing whips rather than flagging a special system. If your building uses a different color to mark a circuit type, order to match that convention instead.
