LTZES08G-A is 2-1/2 inch trade size liquid tight flexible metallic conduit, supplied as a 25 foot (8 meter) coil in grey. One coil covers a single run, so for longer pulls order multiple coils and plan your couplings at the joints.

There is a galvanized steel core under the grey jacket, which is what makes it liquid tight flexible metallic conduit rather than the non-metallic type. The steel core gives you the crush resistance and metallic path you get from LFMC; a plain LFNC whip has no metal in it at all.

The whole point of liquidtight flexible metallic conduit is a sealed outer jacket over a galvanized steel core, so it is used where moisture, washdown, or oil would get into standard flex. The seal only holds if it is terminated with proper liquidtight connectors and gaskets at both ends; terminate it with ordinary flex connectors and the run is no longer liquid tight.

Use the flexible conduit for the last few feet into equipment that vibrates or has to be moved for service, like a large motor, chiller, or rooftop unit. Run rigid or EMT for the fixed portion of the circuit and transition to this 2-1/2 inch LFMC at the equipment. It is not meant to be the whole raceway on a long straight run.

Grey is the jacket color on this conduit and contractors often use it to keep runs visually consistent with grey PVC and enclosures on the same system. It carries no functional difference on its own; the construction is the same galvanized steel core LFMC.
